Wagon R has been one of the highest selling vehicles in the Indian Market, its tall boy design led it to be the go-to choice for many. The Vehicle is renowned for offering great visibility along with powerful engine choices like that of a 1000cc engine as well as a 1.2 CC four-cylinder engine as well. But as per a new news update it has become apparent that the new version of the vehicle might be launched in India with a Hybrid Powertrain.

Being receptive to the next aim that the company has, it’s possible that a recent report that has been showcasing a new Japanese variant of the Wagon R with sliding doors and Hybrid powertrain might be launched in India soon.
New Wagon R Hybrid Powertrain
Suzuki’s new Hybrid system would utilize a combination of engine along with a drive motor, the system is already in use with the Solio and AGS. This transmission would be used with the 660 cc, inline 3 DOHC engine. The Petrol engine generates about 54PS and 58 Nm of peak torque. The electric motor would contribute to about 10Ps and 29 Nm by an e-cvt.
This is the Powertrain that the new Wagon R in the Japanese market is powered by, Suzuki has not till now launched a 660cc engine in India. If this model of the Wagon R makes it To India, would it be able to gain the user’s approval.
Would The Vehicle Be Brought To India?
In the recent past, there had been reports that Suzuki has been planning on launching a new affordable Hybrid Powertrain. The System would possibly accompany vehicles such as Wagon R, Swift, Dzire, and Fronx. The Hybrid system would most probably accompany the 1.2 litre, 3 Cylinder Petrol Engine.
