The main reason for the surge in demand of the sub-four-metre SUV in Indian market is the practicality. Indian roads offer tough and rough conditions to drive or to sit. Therefore, SUVs become practical choice among Indian buyers. However, not every Indian consumer could afford a proper bulky SUV. Also, a proper SUV requires ample of parking space, which is a problem for the country as dense as India. In such conditions, sub-four-metre compact SUVs became the most favourite choice among the Indian buyers.

The sub-four-metre SUVs offer an adequate ground clearance, apt for Indian road conditions. These SUVs also offer space interiors with adequate boot space and low service cost when compared to the bulky SUVs. Therefore, sub-four-metre SUVs remains the most popular choice for the India buyers.
