Bengaluru Viral Video: SHOCKING! Man Dies After Accepting Friends’ Challenge To Sit On Box Of Firecrackers

A case of culpable homicide has been registered and all the six people involved in the incident have been arrested.

Bengaluru: In a shocking incident, a 32-year-old Bengaluru man reportedly died after he sat on a firecracker box while his friends set it off. The boy identified as Shabarish was part of a game challenged by his friends.

According to reports, the victim was allegedly under alcohol’s influence when he undertook the bet by six of his friends to sit on a firecracker box. Police suspected that all six were drunk while bursting the firecrackers in Konanakunte on October 31.

The group of friends had placed a bet – If Shabarish sat on the box while the firecrackers inside it were lit, the group would buy him an autorickshaw.

The CCTV footage circulating on social media showed the victim sitting on a box of powerful firecrackers, while one of his friends lit it and ran for safety. Thick smoke was seen rising in the air as the victim collapsed on the road. He was rushed to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries on November 2.

A case of culpable homicide has been registered and all the six people involved in the incident have been arrested.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (South Bengaluru) Lokesh Jagalasar, the six people were produced before the court and an investigation is underway.
