Delhi Might See Rain For Two Days, IMD Issues Yellow Alert

On Friday, Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 6.2 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 23 degrees Celsius.

The weather department issued a yellow alert in the National Capital and forecasted the possibility of light rain accompanied by fog in Delhi and surrounding states on Saturday and Sunday too..

Severe cold continues to grip Northern India, including the capital, Delhi. On Friday, Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 6.2 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 23 degrees Celsius. Due to the wind, pollution has completely subsided, allowing for clear sunny days and providing relief from the cold.

Meanwhile, regions like Gulmarg, Sonamarg, and several areas in Uttarakhand are experiencing heavy snowfall, leaving people shivering in the plains. In Kashmir, many rivers and streams are frozen.

Additionally, light rain has occurred in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands in the Bay of Bengal, and Lakshadweep in the Arabian Sea. In contrast, thick blankets of fog due to the cold are affecting visibility in Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar. Most districts in Madhya Pradesh recorded minimum temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius, accompanied by trembling winds throughout the day.
