Delhi residents are not likely to get relief anytime soon, as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for hot and humid conditions for most days of the week.

A maximum temperature of 42°C has been forecast for Monday, June 9. The IMD has issued a yellow alert for hot and humid weather conditions. Some parts of Delhi are expected to experience heatwave today. The sky will remain clear with dust raising winds predicted at speed of 20-30 kmph.

According to the IMD, maximum temperatures are expected to rise by 3°C in the next three days and reach 44°C. Due to this hot and humid days are likely to continue till June 12.

June 13: The weather may change from Friday as the sky will turn partly cloudy with maximum temperature in the range of 41-43°C. Thunderstorm with rain has been predicted for the day.
June 14: Partly cloudy sky with maximum temperature at 41°C is expected on Saturday. Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty winds is predicted.
June 15: Rain or Thundershowers is expected to lash Delhi on Sunday. The maximum temperature will remain 38°C.
