Delhi: Delhi is currently experiencing light rain and thunderstorms, providing some temporary relief from the scorching temperatures. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorm accompanied with lightning, dust raising winds, strong surface winds on Sunday, May 18. Despite the rain, the weather remains uncomfortable due to humidity and warm temperature. Notably, very light to light rainfall/thunderstorm/lightning/dusts-storm occurred at many places over Delhi on Saturday.

Sustained surface winds (speed 15-25 kmph) occasionally gusting to 35 Kmph will prevail during the day time. The maximum temperature is expected in the range of 41-42 degrees Celsius. There has been no large change in maximum temperatures in past 24 hours over Delhi.
