Hyderabad: An Air India Express flight en route to Phuket, Thailand, from Hyderabad returned to its base at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Saturday morning, just minutes after takeoff. According to reports, the flight took off at 6:40 AM and was slated to land in Phuket at 11:45 AM, but made a U-turn due to a technical snag.
Flight IX110, operated by a Boeing 737 Max 8 (registration VT-BWA), departed approximately 20 minutes later than its scheduled time of 6:20 AM, according to real-time data from FlightRadar24. The reason for the turnaround is yet to be disclosed. Meanwhile, the Air India Express took to X to apologize for the flight disruption, stating, “Accept our sincere apologies for the disruption of your flight. To assist you further and check the latest status, please DM us your booking details (PNR). Thanks for your patience and understanding.”
