After the grand success of RRR, filmmaker SS Rajamouli has created excitement among fans due to his upcoming project ‘SSMB29’ with Mahesh Babu. It was earlier reported that Priyanka Chopra will star as the leading lady in the film. As per the latest buzz, R Madhavan has also joined the star cast.
According to the report by MoneyControl, R Madhavan will be seen as a powerful and pivotal character in SSMB29. However, neither the actor nor the makers have confirmed these reports yet. The team of SSMB29 reportedly kickstarted shooting for the film in January 2025 in Hyderabad and Odisha.
On the work front, R Madhavan was last seen in Kesari Chapter 2 as Neville McKinley. The movie was set against the backdrop of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre and also stars Akshay Kumar and Ananya Panday. The actor also appeared in the Netflix film ‘Test’ with Nayanthara and Siddharth.
In an earlier interview with India Today, the actor talked about taking a break from acting. He said, “I was in the middle of the road, and I saw this Swiss farmer looking at us with complete disdain and shaking his head. I looked at him and said, ‘You come to Chennai, I’ll show you who I am’. I was really offended, but it struck me suddenly that I am literally dancing to other people’s tunes.”
He will collaborate with Fatima Sana Shaikh for the film ‘Aap Jisa Koi’.
Talking about SSMB29, the music will be composed by M.M. Keeravani. As of now, SS Rajamouli has not revealed the details about the film’s plot, release date, cast and title. Fans are eagerly waiting to know more updates about this ambitious project.
