Vineet Kumar Singh, who was in Dubai during the sudden airspace closures across the Middle East following Iran’s missile strikes on U.S. bases in Qatar, has returned safely to Mumbai.
Speaking to News18 after landing at 3:45 am IST on Tuesday, Vineet recalled the confusion at Dubai Airport late Monday night. “We were clueless around 10 pm. Then we got the news that boarding started. Flight takeoff [was] little late but everything was fine. Emirates Airlines and Dubai airport staff helped everyone” he shared.
The actor praised Emirates Airlines and airport staff for managing the situation with calm and efficiency despite the heightened tension. Vineet’s scheduled flight had been set to depart at 9:40 pm Dubai time.
Earlier, Vineet had taken to Instagram Stories, updating fans, “I am at Dubai Airport. 9.23pm Dubai Time. Immigration done. Waiting at the gate for my flight. Fingers crossed.”
He later confirmed his safe arrival with a post reading,”Landed Mumbai.”
The airspace restrictions were enforced by Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait in response to escalating regional tensions and were described by authorities as temporary and precautionary.
Vineet, started his film career with Chain Kulii Ki Main Kulii in 2007, He played the role of Danish Khan in Gangs of Wasseypur (2012) that brought him into the spotlight. He then played the lead in Mukkabaaz (2017). He has also given performances in web series including Bard of Blood (2019), Betaal (2020) and Rangbaaz: Darr Ki Rajneeti (2022). He gave back to back outstanding performances in Chhaava and Jaat.
