Chitrangda Singh Joins Salman Khan’s Battle Of Galwan, Says It’s ‘Truly Special’ To Be Part Of The Film

Chitrangda Singh has officially joined Salman Khan's Battle of Galwan, marking their first on screen collaboration.

Salman Khan has officially welcomed Chitrangda Singh to the cast of his much anticipated film Battle of Galwan, marking their first ever on screen collaboration. The casting was confirmed earlier today by director Apoorva Lakhia.

Salman Khan Films took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the news, posting a photo of Chitrangda. The caption read, “Simplicity and Elegance personified Welcoming @chitrangda to the Battle Of Galwan team.”

Responding to the warm welcome, Chitrangda posted on X (formerly Twitter), saying: “Thank you so much for making me part of this .. it’s is truly special ! I look forward to working with the whole team”

On July 4, Salman unveiled the first look poster on social media, where he appears in a bloodied, snow dusted uniform, gripping a barbed weapon, with a thick moustache.

The film also stars Zeyn Shaw, Ankur Bhatia, Harshil Shah, Heera Sohall, Abhilash Chaudhary, and Vipin Bhardwaj.

While the release date is yet to be confirmed, the film is slated to begin shooting from July 2025 and this marks a significant first for Salman, as he will portray an army officer in a full fledged role for the very first time in his career. Pinkvilla quoted the insider, “Apoorva Lakhia and Salman Khan are all set to start shooting for the film from July 2025. The film will be shot in Ladakh and Mumbai, over a period of 70-days starting July. It features Salman Khan as an army officer in a full fledged film for the first time in his career, and he will be joined by 3 other actors from the younger generation.”

The Galwan Valley clash in 2020 was a deadly confrontation between Indian and Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley, a disputed border region in Ladakh, India. The clash, which occurred on 1962 resulted in casualties on both sides.
