Bollywood star Deepika Padukone has scripted history by becoming the first Indian actress to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She will receive this prestigious honour in 2026 in the Motion Pictures category. Apart from Deepika, many actors from around the world have been named in the list released by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, including Demi Moore, Rachel McAdams, Emily Blunt, Timothée Chalamet, Rami Malek, and Stanley Tucci.
Deepika is yet to react to this news. She has established herself as a global star with several brand endorsements from global luxury brands and her projects in Hollywood. She made her acting debut in Hollywood with the 2017 movie ‘XXX: The Return Of Xander Cage’. Talking about her international achievements, she served as a jury member at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival. She also received the Time100 Impact Award in the same year. In 2023, she also introduced the song ‘Naatu Naatu’ at the Oscars.
On the work front, Deepika Padukone was last seen in Singham Again. She has now joined the cast of Allu Arjun and Atlee’s upcoming Telugu movie and will reportedly be seen as a warrior. This is Deepika Padukone’s second Telugu film, as she made her debut with Kalki 2898 AD. Deepika was reportedly roped in for Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s directorial ‘Spirit’ but was replaced by Triptii Dimri. The filmmaker later shared a cryptic post on X in which he talked about an actor playing dirty PR games and putting down a younger actor. Netizens think that Sandeep directed this post to Deepika Padukone.
This post came after it was reported that Deepika left Spirit due to some bold scenes in the film. The report by Pinkvilla stated, “Sandeep Reddy Vanga wanted to cast an actress, who would be comfortable with the sequences written on paper. He has promised a comfortable and professional atmosphere on the sets amidst the shoot to Tripti.”
As of now, Deepika Padukone will also work in King with Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan.
