It’s Bipasha Basu VS Mika Singh! Did The Actor Take A Sly Dig At Singer’s Accusations Of ‘Throwing Tantrums’?

Bipasha Basu responds cryptically to Mika Singh's allegations of her throwing tantrums on the set of Dangerous. The actress shared a post hinting at toxicity, while Mika discussed his regret over working with her.

Bipasha Basu has been largely absent from the film industry since her last project, Dangerous (2020), a web series co-starring her husband, Karan Singh Grover. Recently, singer Mika Singh, who co-produced the show, made some strong allegations against Bipasha, claiming she threw tantrums on set and disrespected producers. However, Bipasha has now responded in a cryptic manner, hinting at the drama surrounding these accusations.

Mika Singh’s Allegations Against Bipasha Basu

In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Mika revealed that the budget of Dangerous escalated from Rs. 4 crore to Rs. 14 crore, largely due to the drama caused by Bipasha on set. He alleged that Bipasha, who was cast alongside Karan Singh Grover, suddenly started refusing to do certain scenes, including kissing scenes, which led to tensions. Mika also criticised the actress for not respecting the producers, saying, “These out-of-work actresses complain about bad luck, but they should learn to respect producers who bring them opportunities.”

He also shared that Bipasha’s behaviour on set made him regret getting into production and claimed that her actions disrupted the project. Mika’s comments also touched upon the idea that some actresses, despite their success, are ungrateful when it comes to smaller, independent film productions.

Bipasha Basu’s Cryptic Instagram Story

Following Mika’s interview, Bipasha posted a cryptic message on her Instagram story that seemed to be a response to the singer’s accusations. She shared a quote that read: “Toxic people create chaos, point fingers, shift blame, and avoid taking responsibility.” She added her own caption: “Stay away from toxicity & negativity. God Bless All. Durga Durga.”

This post was seen as a possible dig at the allegations made by Mika, suggesting that she was not the one responsible for the tensions on set.

Mika’s interview also touched on the larger issue of how some actresses behave when they are given opportunities by independent producers. He expressed disappointment, claiming that many actresses are quick to criticise their “bad luck” but fail to show the same respect to smaller producers as they would to bigger production houses.

Bipasha Basu’s Focus on Motherhood

While the actress is yet to announce any new projects after Dangerous, she is currently enjoying the joys of motherhood with her 2-year-old daughter, Devi Basu Singh Grover. Bipasha’s social media posts show her basking in her blissful family life, far removed from the professional tensions.

As the debate continues, it remains to be seen whether Bipasha will respond directly to Mika’s allegations or let her cryptic posts speak for themselves.

The Original Kaanta Laga Girl: ‘It Was My Good Fortune That The Big Hit Song Came To Me’

Ashaji recalls Kaanta laga as an upbeat folk dance number  composed by Rahul Dev Burman. “It was peppy and catchy. We were all humming the  song when shooting it. But did I think it would become such a rage in retrospect? No! Success on that level cannot be predicted by anyone. I remember the song Maar diya jaye ke chhor diya jaye in my film Mera Gaon Mera Desh. That too became such craze, although Lataji’s other  songs  in the film were also outstanding.”
