Everyone has been buzzing with excitement for Squid Game Season 2. Fans absolutely loved the show, and with that intense cliffhanger, there was a lot of anticipation for Season 3 as well. The director shared some fun updates about the series, and the best part is that even after Season 3 dropped, we could look forward to more Squid Game shows to dive into.
The show’s creator, Hwang Dong-hyuk, confirmed that an English version of the popular Korean series was already being made. In a recent chat with TheWrap, the writer and director mentioned something exciting: the upcoming season wasn’t going to be the last time we would get to enjoy the show.
He revealed, “I know Netflix has a plan. They are not going to throw this idea away.” David Fincher, the director behind ‘The Social Network’, has been working on an English-language version of a popular series for some time. While we’re all eagerly waiting, the streaming platform hasn’t given us the official green light just yet.

The director of the series added, “Maybe I’ll be in one of those projects as an advisor or co-creator. Who knows? But Season 3 is not going to be the end of the Squid Game universe.”

The dedication of the cast and crew truly showed as both seasons were filmed over a challenging year. Fans can look forward to the third season, which is set to premiere sometime in the summer or fall of 2025.
