Despite mixed reviews, Pushpa 2 has captured significant audience attention and anticipation for its OTT release. Netflix has reportedly acquired the digital rights for a record-breaking amount, although an official release date has not yet been announced. Industry norms suggest a likely streaming debut six weeks after its theatrical release, with speculations pointing to January 16, potentially coinciding with the Sankranti festival. If not, it might release on January 25 to align with Republic Day celebrations.
The film continues the saga of Pushpa Raj, with Allu Arjun reprising his role and Fahadh Faasil delivering a powerful performance as the antagonist, SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat IPS. The ensemble cast includes Jagapathi Babu, Dhananjaya, Prakash Raj, Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Satya, and Sreeleela, whose special number has added glamour to the film.
