Today marks International Women’s Day and on this occasion Shikhar Pahariya took to Instagram to celebrate the women present in his life. In a heartfelt post, he praised the females present in his life, including her grandmother, mother and his rumoured girlfriend and actress Janhvi Kapoor.

Shikhar captioned the post, “We talk about celebrating women, but true allyship isn’t just about words, flowers, or a superficial attempt at understanding the female experience. It’s about action. It’s in the choices we make every single day- the voices we amplify, the battles we choose to fight, the spaces we refuse to let shrink. It’s about truly seeing women, not just for their struggles, but for their victories. Not just for their strength, but for their softness. Not just for their resilience, but for the love, fire, and power they bring to the world.”
On Saturday, Shikhar shared a lengthy post reflecting on the importance of recognising the impact of women. He wrote, “Some days on the calendar remind us to celebrate women. But do we truly understand what that means? Women have been my anchors, my guides, and the very forces that shaped who I am.”
He then dedicated a special note to his grandmother Ujwala Shinde, mother Smruti Shinde, and Janhvi Kapoor.
Starting from his mother, he expressed: “In my mother, Smruti Shinde, I saw the rare magic of ambition wrapped in kindness. I watched her chase dreams with relentless determination, yet never losing her warmth. She built, she nurtured, she created-and she did it all with a love that never faltered. My mother showed me that true strength isn’t just about what you accomplish, but about how many hearts you touch along the way.”
For his rumoured lady love, he wrote: “And from Janhvi- a woman who defies every expectation, whose fire refuses to dim- I learnt to be unshaken. In a world that constantly tries to mould women and tell them who they should be, she carries a rare determination-the kind that doesn’t break under scrutiny, doesn’t bow to pressure. She loves fiercely, dreams boldly, and proves, every single day, that resilience isn’t about surviving-it’s about thriving”.
Alongside his emotional words, he shared several pictures of Janhvi, including one of 3her posing with her pet dog, another from her 2020 film Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, and a family picture featuring Shikhar, Khushi Kapoor, and Boney Kapoor.

Janhvi Kapoor was deeply touched by Shikhar’s tribute so she responded in the comments section, writing, “Best son, best grandson, best friend, best ever,” along with a heart emoji.
