Stranger Things fame Sadie Sink has officially joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The actress has reportedly been cast for a leading role in the highly awaited Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4.
As per reports by Deadline, the film is set to begin shooting later this year under direction by Destin Daniel Cretton. However, the details about Sadie’s role remains under cover but fan speculations are already running wild.
Mary Jane Watson Or Jean Grey?
Many of the fans speculated that Sadie Sink could be introduced as Jean Grey, a important member of the X-Men. As Marvel is moving closer to integrating mutants into the MCU, Sadie’s casting is signalling the first major X-Men crossover.
However, others think that she may play a different well-known character- Mary Jane Watson, Spider-Man’s iconic love interest. While Zendaya played ‘MJ’ in the last trilogy, her character was Michelle Jones.
Sadie’s casting gives a very important turning point in the Spider-Man storyline. At the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Peter Parker erased himself from everyone’s memory, including his loved ones.
