Bollywood actress Swara Bhasker, known for her outspoken views, has once again found herself at the centre of controversy. A few days ago, alleged anti-religious statements attributed to her went viral on social media, leading to backlash from netizens. However, Swara has now responded, calling these statements ‘fake’ and slamming those spreading them.

Swara took to X (formerly Twitter) to clarify the matter. She shared screenshots of the viral statements that falsely quoted her as criticising religious practices in Hinduism and Islam. Reacting strongly, she wrote,
“Both memes / posts are fake. Not sure why Sanghis feel the need to circulate fake statements attributed to my name. When I’ve made plenty genuine statements that will piss them off just the same! #FakeAlert.”
