Sources further stated that the Union Home Ministry has directed CAPF forces to “immediately” move and take position in the union territory. “The Union home ministry has decided to deploy about 580 CAPF companies for the Amarnath Yatra this time. This includes about 150-160 units already present in the UT,” a senior officer told PTI.

The companies have been drawn from “five CAPFs of CRPF, BSF, CISF, ITBP and SSB. Each of these companies have an operational strength of about 70-75 personnel,” he added further.

High Security Following Attack In Pahalgam

The high-pitched security for the Yatra comes in line with the massive terror attack in Pahalgam, where around 26 people lost lives. Reportedly, the Minister of Home Affairs, Amit Shah, will be reviewing the security arrangements for the pilgrimage, during his visit to Jammu.

Amarnath Yatra To Start July 3

The Amarnath Yatra will start on July 3 and will continue until August 9, 2025. The Yatra, which will last for 38 days, will culminate at a height of 3,880m at the holy cave that holds the naturally formed ice-shivling in the union territory.

Yatris can choose the traditional route, which is 48km from Pahalgam in the Anantnag district or the shorter and steeper, 14km route from Baltal in the Ganderbal district.

The Original Kaanta Laga Girl: ‘It Was My Good Fortune That The Big Hit Song Came To Me’

Ashaji recalls Kaanta laga as an upbeat folk dance number  composed by Rahul Dev Burman. “It was peppy and catchy. We were all humming the  song when shooting it. But did I think it would become such a rage in retrospect? No! Success on that level cannot be predicted by anyone. I remember the song Maar diya jaye ke chhor diya jaye in my film Mera Gaon Mera Desh. That too became such craze, although Lataji’s other  songs  in the film were also outstanding.”
