New Delhi: Ahead of Apple’s second official store opening in Delhi, Company CEO Tim Cook met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday evening.

He shared the company’s vision of “positive impact technology” and his commitment to investing across the country.

“Thank you Prime Minister @narendramodi for the warm welcome. We share your vision of the positive impact technology can make on India’s future — from education and developers to manufacturing and the environment, we’re committed to growing and investing across the country,” twitted Apple CEO. 

Responding to Apple’s CEO tweet Prime Minister Modi said, “An absolute delight to meet you, @tim_cook! Glad to exchange views on diverse topics and highlight the tech-powered transformations taking place in India.”

Tim Cook met Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw before meeting with PM Modi. 

Apple CEO is in Delhi to inaugurate the company’s second store in a mall in the national capital.

Apple’s first-ever store in India was launched in the BKC business district, Mumbai, by chief executive Tim Cook on April 18. The store is spread over a 20,000-square-foot area. The store has 25 years of history in the country.
