Good News For Maharashtra Residents: ‘Missing Link’ On Mumbai-Pune Expressway To Be Operational By …, Cutting Travel Time By 30 Minutes

The length of this stretch is 13-Kilometers. It is located in the expressway's ghat portion. Once this gets open to public it will save the travel time by 30 minutes.

A good news for residents of Maharashtra in a development in the expressway project. A official of Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation has pointed that ‘Missing Link’ on the Mumbai Pune Expressway is likely to get operational by August 2025, as reported by Pune Pulse.

The completion of this ‘Missing Link’ will enhance the travel and boost connectivity in the region. As quoted by Pune Pulse, Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation mentioned that, “The project is nearly finished, with only the cable-stayed bridge work left. That will be done by August, so by the end of August 2025, the missing link will be operational.”

The length of this stretch is 13-Kilometers. It is located in the expressway’s ghat portion. Once this gets open to public it will save the travel time by 30 minutes. Commuters will be easily able to reach Pune from Mumbai. As per MSRDC, this route will 6-Km shorter.

About Gorakhpur-Shamli Expressway

The length of the expressway will be 700-Km. It will have 6 lane. It will cross 22 districts and 37 tehsils in Uttar Pradesh. Right now the people of Western UP travel using the Agra-Lucknow Expressway to reach Eastern UP. The whole journey will be completed in 6 hours.
