Good News For Uttar Pradesh: Three New Airlines To Operate From Jewar Airport; To Enhance Connectivity

One of these is Shankh Air which will operate from Jewar International Airport in Noida. The other two airlines include Air Kerala and Alhind Air. Their launch will increase regional connectivity in the southern states. This will make travel to Gulf countries easier in the coming times. The launch of these airlines is expected to lead to a boom in air travel.

Increasing Demand For Air Travel

As per reports, all airlines will start their operations in less than one year. Two major airlines operate in India to serve more than 90% of passengers. The launch of new airlines results from the expanding population of airports together with rising national air travel requirements.

Easier Travel To UP

Jewar International Airport currently building up its infrastructure within Noida and will service flights to international locations worldwide. Shankh Air will use this airport as a base for its operations to provide easier access to major cities for travelers. The airline plans to start its flights from Lucknow to Varanasi and Gorakhpur as well as from Delhi to Mumbai, Bengaluru, and other cities. The first narrow-body aircraft launch from the company will take place before the end of March 2024, as reported by Junaid Akhtar.

Two Airlines For Kerala

The available reports indicate that Air Kerala seeks to establish itself as the first ultra-low-cost carrier operating in India. The airline company will start its domestic service in 2025 before moving to international routes the following year. The Kerala state government introduced the private venture in 2005 and Jetfly Aviation Private Limited retains responsibility for its operation.

The well-founded Calicut-based tour operator Alhind Group approved its entry into the airline business through Alhind Air.
