Aryan Ansari, a young witness to the tragic Air India Flight 171 Crash in Ahmedabad on June 12, has shared his account of the harrowing incident. He had unintentionally captured the video in his phone. Aryan stated that the plane was passing very close and he thought of capturing it show to his friends. He recounted that the aircraft soon went downwards, appearing as if it was going to land, since the airport was nearby. The viral video of the crash, recorded by him was widely circulated on social media.
What Did Aryan Say?
In conversation with ANI, Aryan said that he got scared when the explosion occurred, prompting him to inform his father and sister.
“I came here on June 12. The plane was passing from very close, so I thought of shooting a video so I could show it to my friends. The plane went downwards, and I thought it was going to land as the airport was nearby. But when it went down, flames started coming up, and we saw that it had exploded. I was scared. I showed the video to my sister. I also told my father about it,” said Aryan.

241 people died after an Air India flight crashed near the Ahmedabad airport on Thursday afternoon. The London-bound flight AI-171, carrying 230 passengers and 12 crew members, took off at 1:17 PM but began descending minutes later. The aircraft crashed into the BJ Medical College and Hospital, causing further casualties on the ground. Air India has confirmed the death toll, with only one person surviving the crash. The lone survivor and several injured individuals, including MBBS students, are currently receiving treatment at Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad.
Authorities on Sunday, stated that four medical students of the BJ Medical College and their relatives have died so far, bringing the death toll in the flight mishap to 250.
