UP Crime: In a disturbing incident in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, a viral video shows two teenage students, Tarun and Uttam, allegedly shooting their teacher in the leg. They recorded the video after the attack, presenting themselves as ‘gangsters inspired by Lawrence Bishnoi.’
In the widely circulated video, these minors boast about assaulting their teacher outside their coaching center, resulting in an injury to the teacher’s left leg, for which he is currently receiving medical treatment. They even threaten to return and shoot their teacher again in six months, claiming inspiration from Lawrence Bishnoi’s gangster videos.
One of the students was apparently angered because the teacher had informed his family about an affair he had with a girl at the coaching center, as reported by Hindustan Times, citing the police.
According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) West, the incident occurred on Thursday outside a coaching center in Khandoli town, Agra’s rural area. A task force has been formed to investigate the matter.
“The students are in police custody. They both were arrested on Friday morning after a case was registered under Section 307 (attempt to murder) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code,” Kumar further informed.
Regarding the motive behind the attack, the DCP suggested that it could be related to a dispute between the students and the teacher’s elder brother, who also attends the same coaching class. Both the accused and the victim hail from Malupur village, as reported by IANS.
