The last two days in both houses of the parliament have witnessed fierce debate with the Opposition parties accusing the government of creating a ethnic divide in Manipur. However, the government defended its action in the violence-hit state.

Earlier on Wednesday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi launched a harsh attack on the government alleging the government of murdering democracy in Manipur. He was speaking after his membership was restored following Supreme Court stayed on his conviction in the Modi surname case.

Replying to Opposition MP’s remark, Home Minister Amit Shah enumerated the works done by the Modi government.

Pm Modi will be speaking in Parliament for the first time in the ongoing Monsoon session.

Earlier, the opposition had demanded his remark on the Manipur issue before starting a discussion on it. But, the government reiterated that Home Minister would reply instead of PM Modi.
