The first five days of Navratri saw more than 8.75 lakh devotees visiting the Shakti Peethas in Himachal Pradesh, according to official police reports dated April 4. Jawala Ji temple in Kangra district attracted 3.34 lakh pilgrims, making it the most visited site among all locations. The Mata Bala Sundri temple in Sirmaur received 2.05 lakh visitors, ranking as the second most visited Shakti Peeth. Other sites included Naina Devi temple in Bilaspur with 1.58 lakh visitors, Chintpurni in Una with 64,500 devotees, Chamunda Devi with 45,000 visitors, Brijeshwari Devi with 42,450 visitors, and Baglamukhi temple in Kangra district which welcomed 25,150 visitors.
According to traffic data from police headquarters, these temple towns received 7,406 heavy motor vehicles, 29,806 light vehicles, and 23,785 two-wheelers.

UP CM Yogi Adityanath Visited Mata Paateshwari Shakti Peeth
On the eighth day of Vasantik Navratri, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath offered prayers at the Mata Paateshwari Shakti Peeth in Balrampur district. The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister followed traditional Maa Durga worship rituals during the ceremony. He also visited the temple’s cattle shelter and offered jaggery to the cows.
