The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority has approved the alignment for an expressway that extends from Noida International Airport to Ganga Expressway between Meerut and Prayagraj with a 120-meter width across 74.3 kilometers. The Rs 4,000 crore project is set to begin its land acquisition phase very soon as officials confirm that the new expressway will link Noida airport with Bulandshahr city along with Aurangabad, Siyana, Garhmukteshwar and smaller Bulandshahr district areas.
Seamless Regional Connectivity A Key Focus
As quoted by Hindustan Times, YEIDA Chief Executive Officer Arun Vir Singh mentioned, “We have given no objection certificate (NOC) to this new expressway project because we need to boost connectivity and connect Noida airport with all nearby areas. And in line with this concept this new expressway will directly and seamlessly connect not only the Yamuna Expressway but also the film city that is likely to witness construction work any time soon.”
Boost To Inter-Expressway Linkages
Singh also mentioned, “As this new Expressway will be connected with Yamuna Expressway that is being connected with Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, then the Ganga Expressway will automatically enjoy seamless connectivity with Delhi-Mumbai Expressway too offering ease to the commuters.”
Route Details And Key Locations Covered
According to Officials, the new expressway will start from Sector 21 of Yeida, where the proposed international film city project is situated, and end at the Ganga Expressway near Siyana in Bulandshahr. It will intersect with the Yamuna Expressway at Sector 21 and connect to the Ganga Expressway at Siyana, passing through Bulandshahr’s urban area and several towns, including Aurangabad and BB Nagar. This will improve connectivity in the region. This upcoming expressway will ease travel and make the journey smoother for the commuters. Once the Noida Airport gets functional then this route will help people catch the flight with an easy route connecting them to the airport.
