TTD Adulterated Ghee Case: The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Thursday granted bail to Pomil Jain, Vipin Jain, and Apurva Chavda in the case concerning the alleged supply of adulterated cow ghee to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). The court observed that their continued incarceration was not warranted. The petitioners have reiterated their full cooperation with the investigation and assured the court of their willingness to comply with stringent bail conditions.
The bench presided by Justice Srinivas Reddy granted the bail pleas after finding serious discrepancies in the investigation. The three accused were represented by Senior Advocate S. Sriram and Advocate Sushil Kumar, the Managing Partner of Kumar Legal Research LLP, who jointly argued the matter before the Andhra Pradesh High Court.

During the earlier proceedings, the defence counsel had strongly contested the manner in which the investigation had been conducted. They pointed out that all three accused had been first summoned merely as witnesses, but were later arrested and incarcerated for an extended period without a sufficient legal basis.
The advocates also questioned the delay in lodging FIRs related to alleged witness intimidation. They stressed that although SIT and CBI raised the claims in March and April, formal FIRs were filed only in June, highlighting the procedural lapses and irregularities in the investigation.
What’s The Case?
The case had come to light from an FIR lodged by the TTD General Manager, alleging that the suppliers had violated tender conditions and delivered adulterated cow ghee meant for use in rituals in the temple. Initial investigations revealed that the ghee originated from Bhole Baba Organic Dairy, passed through Vyshnavi Dairy, and was supplied to TTD by the AR Dairy.
The investigation is carried by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in coordination with Special Investigation Team (SIT).
Notably, Pomil Jain and Vipin Jain are directors of Bhole Baba Organic Dairymilk Pvt. Ltd., and Apurva Chavda is the CEO of Vyshnavi Dairy.
