Being together and enjoying each other’s company is ideal, but changing screen time habits isn’t always easy with kids. Here are some tips to get you started. They can also be applied in everyday life.

1. Pack a tasty snack box

Kids are always hungry and having hungry and whinky kids is no less than a nightmare. So, here are some ways to make your kid’s snack box fun:- Use cookie cutters for cute-shaped sandwiches, fruit skewers, or charcuterie boxes for kids. A colourful bento box with a favourite character and even more fun gadgets can help.

After giving them this fun box, they won’t ask for an iPad when they’re busy chewing stuffing and enjoying their stuffed snacks.

2. Engage with interesting games

Keep your kids entertained with fun games. Younger children enjoy playing games with their parents, such as I Spy. Think Uno or Monopoly Deal. You can easily put it in your carry-on or handbag.

Jigsaw puzzles are also great to keep little ones engaged. You can also consider purchasing an activity book.

3. Download some music and audiobooks

Listen to soothing sounds as you relax. From relaxing Spotify playlists to family-friendly podcasts for kids in the car, think screen-free mindless entertainment.

4. Carry a mini library

Nothing like getting lost in a good book when all else fails… Books can be heavy, but you have a pocket library worth carrying around. Of course, older children don’t need to bring a library. One or two novels are enough for them.

5. Plan tressure hut/Mission

To make the trip more interesting and fun for the trip, plan a tressure hut and a Mission which will make them energetic and make them more attracted to nature. It will definitely help to reduce children’s screen time.
