It's already time for the second session but the rain has still not halted and the outfield is extremely wet.

The third Test between India and Gabba has been disrupted due to heavy rain and there seems to be no break in sight. The players had to take lunch at 7:50 am as the rain continued to pour. The thunderstorm at Gabba halted the game two times and only 13 overs have been bowled in the first session.

Sunil Gavaskar said on air that the teams will be lucky if they get one hour of play if rain stops but as per now there are no signs of rain stopping. If the situation continues the Day 1 of 3rd Test is likely to get abandoned.

According to AccuWeather, the rain is likely to continue for the next 60 minutes this means it will take a lot of time to clear the outfield and a more delay is expected. There is also a “Severe Thunderstorm Warning” in Brisbane.
