Pat Cummins Reflects On SRH’s Loss

After the match SRH skipper reflected on the defeat and mentioned that it was a difficult wicket to bat on and Sunrisers could not score big.

“Wasn’t the easiest of wicket, 160 was a few short. It was a tricky wicket, cutters were gripping. They shut down a lot of our scoring areas. I thought we had all bases covered, 160 you feel a little bit short, I thought we gave it a good crack with the ball. We thought we needed wickets, had plenty of death bowling in Eshan, Harshal and myself. Needed just an over or two, so we gave it to the eglgie [Rahul Chahar]. Got to play well away from home to make the finals, unfortunately not clicked yet.”

Sunrisers Hyderabad Fail To Post A Competitive Total

The opening partnership between Head and Sharma managed to score 59 runs against Mumbai. Abhishek scored 40 runs in 28 balls but Travis Head was in a real struggle to score and ended his innings with a total of 28 runs in 29 deliveries. Ishan Kishan also failed to deliver and Nitish Reddy’s innings ended at a mere score of 19. The team posted a total of 162 which wasn’t enough to stop Mumbai Indians from registering a dominating win, this also means SRH have now slipped to 9th position in IPL points table.
