Did Cheteshwar Pujara Troll Michael Vaughan In Commentary Box During India-England First Test? Find Out

The first Test of the India-England Test series commenced today at Leeds, where England won the toss and opted to bowl first.

Former India batter and Test sensation Cheteshwar Pujara has a special role in the England Test series. Pujara has been responsible for entertaining the fans not with his cricketing skills but with his key insights and expertise from the commentary box. In the commentary box, alongside India’s legend Sunil Gavaskar and Aussie cricket sensation Michael Vaughan, Pujara did something very humorous that might have signalled trolling of the Australian legend. Cheteshwar Pujara took Michael Vaughan’s autograph on the photo frame of Vaughan’s tweet where he predicted a 4-0 whitewash for India in the 2020-21 Australia.

India was bowled out in the first Test at Adelaide for just 36 runs, which was their lowest score in Test cricket. Australia secured an easy win in that game. Subsequently, the captain of India, Virat Kohli, went back to India to have the birth of his infant. Ajinkya Rahane was attributed as the new captain. During the second Test played in Melbourne, Rahane got a century, and India gave a favorable response by winning the match.

The third Test in Sydney was played as a draw. India was on its toes, yet Rishabh Pant, Hanuma Vihari, and Ravichandran Ashwin were very courageous and rescued the match despite the situation. The fourth and the last Test was in the Gabba in Brisbane, where Australia had not lost a Test in 32 years. With a lot of new and young players because of injuries, 328 runs were chased down by runs. On the other hand, Rishabh Pant scored an excellent knock of 89 not out to give India the match and the series.
