India cricket team star Jasprit Bumrah has donated the shoes he used on Day 2 at Lord’s when he took yet another five-wicket haul. The old warhorse pacer grabbed his 15th Test match fifer in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 3rd Test, dismantling England’s middle and lower order batters. Bumrah’s onslaught on Day 2 took India to 387 runs for the 1st innings of England.
Bumrah Gifts Shoes To MCC Museum
According to PTI, Bumrah has gifted his shoes to the MCC museum after his five-wicket haul at Lord’s. Within the period of seven balls, Bumrah dismissed Joe Root, Ben Stokes, and Chris Woakes, taking the hosts from 251/4 to 271/7. He finally ended with the figures of 5/74. While Bumrah took his name on the Lord’s honours board for the first time, he tied India teammate Ravindra Jadeja for the record of India’s most fifers in Tests. The experienced pacer already has a fifer to his credit in this series, having picked one in the 1st innings at Headingley, Leeds. Then he was given a break for the 2nd Test at Edgbaston for workload management. But even in his absence, Indian bowlers were able to pick 20 wickets and make history.
