Boom-Boom Bumrah’s magic dazzles at Lord’s. The English batters had no answer to Jasprit Bumrah’s fiery spell and surrendered easily. Bumrah created havoc and, for the first time at Lord’s, claimed five wickets in a single innings. He dismissed top English batsmen like Joe Root, Ben Stokes, and Harry Brook, sending them back to the pavilion. With this magical spell, Bumrah also broke a massive record held by Kapil Dev, becoming India’s number one bowler in a special category.

Bumrah Grabs A Fifer
Bumrah cleaned up Jofra Archer to complete his five-wicket haul at Lord’s. He had already dismissed Harry Brook on the first day of the Test, but his real destruction came on Day 2. In his opening spell of the day, Bumrah removed Ben Stokes, Joe Root, and Chris Woakes. Stokes was sent back for 44, while Bumrah ended Root’s century knock. Notably, this was the 11th time Bumrah dismissed Root in Tests. Immediately after Root’s wicket, Bumrah dismissed Woakes for a golden duck. He then bowled Archer cleanly to complete his five-for at Lord’s.
Kapil Dev’s Record Shattered
With this performance, Jasprit Bumrah has now taken five wickets in an innings 13 times in overseas Tests, surpassing Kapil Dev’s record of 12 such hauls on foreign soil. Anil Kumble holds third place on this list. Thanks to Bumrah’s brilliance, India bowled England out for 387 runs in the first innings. Nitish Kumar Reddy and Mohammed Siraj also chipped in with two wickets each.
