A new rivalry between Yashasvi Jaiswal was created during the IND vs AUS 1st Test played at the Optus Stadium in Perth. Jaiswal was dismissed for a duck during the first innings of the match whereas the latter slammed a brilliant hundred during the second innings and played an innings of 161 runs. Starc was the bowler who dismissed the young Indian sensation without troubling the scorers, whereas the same same Mitchell Starc was being smashed for sixes by Jaiswal in the second innings. During the same, Jaiswal’s conversation with the ace Australian pacer went viral wherein the lefty batter could be heard saying, ‘‘bowling too slow.’ Jaiswal was beaten by pace on the first instance but later showcased a backfoot defence while facing the very next ball and said, “You are bowling too slow.”

Mitchell Starc Reacts To Yashasvi Jaiswal’s ‘Too Slow’ Comment
However, throughout the match, Mitchell Starc couldn’t been seen exchanging any words with Yashasvi Jaiswal, however, the latter has come up with his first reply to the incident. Starc stated that he didn’t listen Jaiswal saying such things to him and added that these days he doesn’t say much to people. Speaking to cricket.com.au, Starc said, “I didn’t actually hear him say I bowled too slow. I don’t say too much to people these days. I may have been back in the day, but now I just sort of get on with it. Played that flick shot and I think I bowled pretty much the same ball, and he defended it. I said where the flick shot is, and he laughed at me, and we just left it at that.”

Yashasvi Jaiswal has emerged among the key matchwinners for the India national cricket team in a span of very short time.
