Mohammed Siraj And Travis Head Penalised For Breach ICC Code Of Conduct During IND vs AUS 2nd Test

Indian cricketer Mohammed Siraj and Australian batter Travis Head was penalised by the ICC for breaching code of conduct during IND vs AUS 2nd Test.

Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj and Australian batter Travis Head have been found guilty for breaching ICC Code of Conduct. Siraj and Head engaged into a heated moment on the field during the IND vs AUS 2nd Test. The right-handed Indian pacer dismissed Head with a brilliant yorker and gave him an angry send-off. During the incident both the players exchanged a few words where the Indian pacer also said a few words whereas Head also said something while he was walking back to the dressing. The left-handed Australian batter played an innings of 140 runs from 141 balls.

Mohammed Siraj And Travis Head Fined For Breaching ICC Code Of Conduct

The International Cricket Council has penalised Mohammed Siraj and his 20 percent match fees from the IND vs AUS 2nd Test has been deducted. Siraj was found guilty of breaching the Article  2.5 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which mentions, “using language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter upon dismissal.” On the other hand, Travis Head became guilty for breaching the Article 2.13 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel and was reprimanded. The rule mentions, “abuse of a player, player support personnel, umpire or match referee during an international match.

Travis Head revealed during the press conference that he said ‘well bowled’ to Mohammed Siraj which was misunderstood by him whereas, Siraj claimed that Head abused him and didn’t say ‘well bowled’ to him. However, both the players sorted things out on the field when the right-handed Indian pacer came out to bat on Day 3.
