The Continuous array of leaks regarding the Apple iPhone 17 have been able to showcase to the users the possible changes that they can expect from iPhone 17. In a recent leak a slew of Chinese clones that have been constructed, to closely mimic the size and shape of the upcoming iPhone 17 were reviewed. While the pro and pro max showcased similar heft as that of the current gen phones. It was the first time that we were were able to witness the shocking appearance of the iPhone 17 Air.
In the video by Unbox Therapy, the host compared two identical clones of the iPhone pro max version that were manufactured by different manufacturers. Hence its pretty evident that the iPhone 17 Pro Max would have the same shape and size as revealed earlier. The Phone carries a certain degree of heft which is necessary for the added features that the phone would be equipped with.
Beyond that the absolute stunner from the pool of clones was the iPhone Air, the phone showcased a thickness of only 5.65 mm. Compared to that the Pro Max models, that had a thickness of 8.75 mm. Compared to the air the pro max seemed much more significantly thicker.

New Display Sizes
For The new Apple iPhone 17 models Apple is expected to bring in larger display size around 6.27 inch display. Since the iPhone Air would be completely new version based on the iPhone 17 Plus model the phone would possibly have completely new dimensions.
iPhone 17 Air
Apple has formidable plans to launch a completely new device that is significantly slimmer than any of the current gen phones. The phone would be the result of a major redesign that would feature a Single Rear Camera located in a horizontal camera bar. As per reports by Apple analyst Ming-Chi -kuo the iPhone Air would be 5.5mm thickest thinnest point. The Device would have a 6.6 inch display size and would replace the Apple Plus model in the Apple Line up. Most of the other features would be similar to the other phones such as addition of a Apple’s C1 Modem, An action Button along with a Camera Button.
120Hz ProMotion Display
Apple, would be expanding the presence of its ProMotion Display to all iPhone models in 2025. The new display’s would be able to provide the phones with a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and video content. Previously only pro models had such a display. The New display would allow the phones to have a much more optimized and power efficient low refresh rate allowing the phone to have a always on display. This would allow widgets such as lock screen clocks, notifications and wallpaper to show up even when the device is locked.
8K Video Recording
While the rumor’s have not been confirmed yet it’s possible that the 48 MP sensors that the phone would have would be capable of recording 8K videos. Several rival smartphones have such video recording capabilities such as the S25 Ultra and the Google Pixel 9 Pro. While The 8k Video Feature is not a go to choice for many content creators right now, its addition to the iPhones might be able to change that. A report by Mark Gruman that revealed that Apple wants to showcase the Apple iPhone 17 Pro’s the new phone’s improved video recording capabilities as a significant addition hence its possible that the phone might be offered with 8K video recording capabilities.
