The Tariff Blues seem to have caught up with Cupertino’s best. Apple has seemingly been seeking new measures to eke out ways through which they can have a short term solution against tariff hikes. Although there have been reports of Apple seeking an exemption from tariffs. As per the recent scenario, it seems that might not happen. Beyond that the only other option that Apple has is to set up large-scale manufacturing plants in the US, but this would take years.
As of now the brand is managing to quench the demand for iPhones in the US by shipping iPhones from other nations that have been hit with significantly lower tariffs. A report earlier on had also reported that iPhones that have been manufactured in India might also be flown into America to ensure that the brand has an initial adjustment period against the tariff. In the long term a price increase seems evident.
The Tariff deadline and the possibility of a price increase has further caused havoc within the users. Apple stores have been jam packed with users who seek to upgrade with an Apple iPhone. Reports suggest that the brand would be revealing its final prices only when it launches the new iPhone 17. Then only would the users be able to assimilate whether the prices have witnessed an increase or not.
Apple To Develop A Instagram Application For iPad
Instagram has also been developing a new application as per a report from the Information. Instagram wants to gain an advantage considering there is a vacuum that has been left behind by TikTok. There has been no dedicated application for Instagram ever since 2010, this leads to a sordid experience for users who seek to use their iPad’s. It was in 2022 that Adam Mosseri stated that there were no plans for an iPad Application because apparently there wasn’t a big enough user base that sought to use the application on their iPad’s.
Currently there is no information about the iPad version of the iPhone and there has been no word regarding when the new version of the application might launch. But the sudden move to venture into an new iPad version of the application, especially when there has been a TikTok ban clearly indicates the brands motive to lure in TikTok Creators to Instagram .
