CMF have launched their latest iteration of the Phone 2 pro in India at a price of Rs 17,999 for the 8Gb 128Gb GB variant and the 8Gb, 256 GB variant has been priced at Rs 19,999. The company has instilled both the variants with significant improvements over the last iteration, but both the phones are still powered by the same Mediatek 7300 Pro chipset that has been optimised to ensure better performance for gamers and daily users.
Key Differences From the Gen 1 phone
The CMF Phone 2 has been launched with the a more optimised MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro Chipset, a more powerful version of the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 that powers the CMF Phone 1. The Phone would be equipped with Android 15 with Nothing OS 3.1 on top, similar to the Nothing 3a Pro and the 3a.
Battery / Camera
The CMF Phone 2 has a 5,000 mAh battery with the support of 50W fast charging and the charger would be included in the box. The CMF phone 2 pro has a triple camera set up which is a a big departure from the older CMF Phone 1. The third camera in the three camera setup would be a 50M telephoto coupled with a ultra wide shooter.50MP in the main sensor that is used on the Nothing Phone 3a. 50Mp telephoto lens with 2x optical and 3x Ultra Zoom – get closer details. Optimised for portrait shots. 8mp ultrawide camera with a16MP selfie camera as well.
Further, the photographs taken would be optimized with the help of True LensEnginee 3- the module adjusts lights and colours to give you the perfect shot, it works with the help of 22 algorithms that have been optimised to give you the best shot always. Along with that CMF has also equipped the phone with presets that would allow the phone to capture the best photographs possible
Screen Size
The CMF phone 2 Pro would feature a 6.77-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Along with that the phone would have an Essential key, which we have recently witnessed on the Nothing 3a and 3A pro. 6.7-inch flexible AMOLED Display upgrade from the rigid AMOLED display on the phone 1- So no more chin on the bezel and symmetrical bezels all around along with better durability. The screen would be capable of 3000 nits 10 Bits colour variance. The screen has been specially optimised for the gamers out there. 50% more expensive than the previous screen. A new design with a flexible AMOLED screen further adds to the overall appearance of the phone
Design Changes
To differentiate between the two generations CMF has made significant changes to the overall design of the phone. The Back panel would have an ascending brightness towards the bottom of the phone. The White Colour variant would probably start off with white at the top and change into a silver shade until it reaches the bottom. Similar would be the case with the orange shade version of the phone as well. The back Panel would get darker as it reaches the bottom half of the phone. The Phone has also been thinned down to 7.8 mm thickness with new volume rocker buttons.
Nothing os
A departure from the bloatware-ridden os of the competitors. Nothing OS is a blend of minimalism and clarity. 700 ui elements have been redesigned for the new phone Functional Customisations have helped it gain a new appeal. Smart App drawer along with the functionality of the essential space. You can use the essential key for all the necessary notes that you find important.
