Samsung has just confirmed its first tri-fold smartphone will launch by the end of the year. Tim Roh, Samsung Mobile Chief, recently revealed the information to select journalists in a Korea Times Report. The Korean brand recently launched its other foldable phones at the Unpacked event yesterday. The event was headlined by the launch of the all-new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip, and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE.
Samsung is planning to launch its first tri-fold smartphone at some point this year- Tim Roh Said-“We are working hard on a tri-fold smartphone to launch it at the end of this year.” He also added: “We are now focusing on perfecting the product and its usability, but we have not decided on its name. As the product nears completion, we are planning to make a final decision soon.”
A report by Android Headlines had previously revealed that a Samsung executive had mentioned that the tri-fold device is ready to be put into production, hinting at the launch of the phone this year.
Korea And China To Get The Phone First!
Apart from Korea and China, other countries would have to wait until 2026 in order to get their hands on the Samsung tri-fold phone. The phone is expected to include a 10-inch Folding OLED display, which would fold down into two smaller form factors. The phone is rumoured to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
