On Saturday, some users experienced issues with WhatsApp, the messaging platform owned by Meta. In the evening, several people reported that they were unable to upload statuses or send messages. The app appeared to be not working properly for a section of its users. According to DownDetector, a platform that tracks service outages using reports from various sources, including user-submitted errors, at least 597 complaints were recorded against WhatsApp by 5:22 PM. Out of these, 85% of users reported issues with sending messages, 12% experienced general problems with the app, and 3% faced difficulties while logging in.

Some users were unable to upload their statuses on WhatsApp. Some others reported errors while sending messages on groups. As more people began experiencing issues with WhatsApp, social media users started posting about it using the hashtag #Whatsappdown again to share their problems and check if others were facing the same issue.
