History At Making: Jofra Archer Delivered The Costliest Spell Of IPL History, Find Out How Many Runs Leaked From His Pocket

The Sunrisers' batters including Ishan Kishan and Travis Head attacked English pacer Jofra Archer

During the second IPL match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals, Jofra Archer reached both the highest and lowest points in tournament history when he yielded figures of 0/76 and set the record for costliest bowling figures. The Sunrisers’ batters including Ishan Kishan and Travis Head attacked English pacer Jofra Archer to claim 23 runs from a single over which included four boundaries as well as a maximum. The nightmare spell of four overs from Archer resulted in a 19 runs-per-over economy rate through which he failed to secure a catch despite the heavy runs leakage. He was acquired by the Rajasthan Royals in the mega auction 2024 at the price of 12.50 crores but seems like it might go in vain.

Century For Kishan

Young Left hander Ishan Kishan smashed a monstrous century during this first appearance of the new franchise. He managed to get his first season century in just 45 balls. Travis Head’s 67 gave Sunrisers a pretty decent start, Klaasen and Nitish Kumar Reddy’s cameo also payed off really well as they contributed 34 and 30 runs respectively. The Sunrisers’ batters completely destroyed the Rajasthan bowlers and got to a humongous score of 286 runs, the second highest of the IPL history.
