New Delhi: The Antigua and Barbuda High Court ruled in favour of fugitive diamantaire Mehul Choksi after he challenged a civil lawsuit pertaining to his extradition.

The high court said that he can not be removed from the country without the court’s permission. Mehul is accused and wanted in a Rs 13000 crore fraud.

According to Dominica-based Nature Isle News, Choksi had sought relief against a civil lawsuit which stated he is entitled to a prompt and thorough investigation and Forcible removal from Antigua and Barbuda.

The Indian government have been seeking his extradition from Antigua for a long time.
